My harvest buddy this morning! Sadie back out in the field harvesting #Kale with mom. And eating it straight up! Finally, a bit chilly out here this morn. The kale and other fresh field crops (like cauliflower) are an absolute bonus with these mild temperatures. Lots of great local fresh stuff still available from us and countless other organic farmers! Especially greens from greenhouses! This patch of kale will die back shortly, as she's already turning a bit yellow and getting some wind damage. Enjoy #fieldfresh for a good while yet, if temps and snow cover don't shut us down out there. However, we have definitely done the 'snow kale harvest', just scroll back! All this great stuff @evergreen_brick_works market on Saturday. And our storage crops @thebigcarrot. (And THANKS to everyone that came to support the outdoor market last Saturday! Turned out to be a good day for us!) #SosnickiHarvest #localANDorganic #eatrealfood #farmkids #marketkid #teachthemyoung #southernontario #hardwork #organicfarming #motherdaughter #farmgirls #certifiedorganic #rawfood #kaleisthenewbeef
