Rural music comes alive in John Deere’s ‘Crooked Road’ series

The two-lane roads that wind their way through Southwest Virginia are ripe with country- and bluegrass-music history. Known as The Crooked Road, the 330-mile route continues to pay homage to the sounds that have helped shaped its rural culture.

Recently John Deere kicked off the five-part “The Crooked Road” video series, which explores the origins of American country music and its connection to land and place.

The first three parts are already online, and these are absolutely worth watching.
