We offer our deepest condolences to former Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack and his family after learning about his 6-year-old granddaughter’s death over the weekend.
According to a statement made by a family spokesperson, Ella Vilsack died from a sudden illness Friday. She is the daughter of Jess Vilsack, Tom and Christie Vilsack’s oldest son. He and his wife, Kate, live in Des Moines and have two other children.
