Farmer Derek heads up Operation Save the Turtle

Farmer Derek to the rescue!

Sure it was scary (for the turtle), and there was the frequent threat of drowning (again, for the turtle), but Derek Klingenberg took time away from his soybean harvest to help a turtle who got stuck in a culvert pipe.

What followed was the handy use of a cutting torch and lots of anxious little kids looking on and hoping for a happy ending for that turtle.
