Arctic Apples is holding a contest to name its new orchard

Published:

It’s time to muster up all of your cleverness and put it to good use! Arctic, the apple company that has engineered the first commercially available non-browning apple, has a new orchard in Washington state — and they want you to help name it.

Submit your suggestion to name the Arctic apples orchard via Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram using the #arcticapples hashtag. Arctic will sift through each suggestion and select a favorite to become our new orchard name. The person who came up with the winning entry will receive an Arctic apples prize pack, including the new Arctic ApBitz apple snacks.

The orchard name suggestion should:

  • tie in to the Arctic brand
  • tell a bit of a story, or hint at one
  • look good on a big sign (you know, just in case)
  • be respectful

The company expects all 480 acres of this new orchard in the heart of Pacific Northwest apple growing country to be planted this coming spring. The contest runs through Jan. 25, 2019, and the winner will be announced Jan. 31.
