8 FFA Instagram accounts you should be following

In today’s society, everything is online — even before the coronavirus changed the world as we knew it. For many young students and FFA members, they stay up to date with news and current events on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. However, considering these platforms have billions of people and over 660,000 uses of #ffa, it can be tough to find — and follow — the right information. To save you some time, I scoured the internet and found some of the best FFA related Instagram accounts to follow.

  1. National FFA Organization — Although obvious, I still couldn’t make a list of the best FFA Instagram accounts without including the National FFA Organization. Through their official account, you can stay up to date with the latest information, challenges, and watch other chapters and their accomplishments. During the coronavirus pandemic, they have kept up-to-date with announcements and shed a light in the world through the work of their FFA members. With 138,000 followers, there is a good chance you are already following this account. In addition to the National FFA Organization, you should also follow your state’s FFA account.
  2. FFA_Memes — If there is one thing that everyone loves, it is a good laugh. FFA members have a special bond that can connect one another, even if they are states away. Be sure to check out the highlights for shoutouts and opportunities! Everything from funny memes to relatable Tiktoks, this is a great account to follow.
  3. One Less Thing AgThis one is for any ag advisors out there. Need a place to hear from other teachers? This is a great account for quality content and a nice laugh. With a tagline of “Just one less thing to make teaching ag easier” — you know you have come to the right place.
  4. FFA Behind the Scenes — This is an account created by FFA members, for FFA members, in an effort to spread positivity. Check out the highlights for FFA fun including FFA bingo and Terminology Tuesday. You can even nominate a member of the week to spread even more positivity.
  5. Ag_teacher_humor — Need a laugh that only ag teachers will understand? This is the place for you! Here to help laugh through the pain that is the 2020-2021 school year, the Ag Teacher humor account has got you covered.
  6. The Farm Story — While this account is not an FFA-based account, she still is heavily involved in FFA and has a lot of great farm facts for students! This is also a great resource for anyone who is interested in telling their story.
  7. Aggie Memes — If you haven’t realized, memes speak volumes to our young folks. These handcrafted FFA memes are for both FFA members and advisors to enjoy. Some of the content is so true it hurts!
  8. In addition to following the National FFA Organization, members should also follow the current leadership — the current National FFA Officers. This is a great way to follow their journey and to watch their leadership in action.

While these are just a few of the many FFA accounts out there, we love following the blue and gold content all across the country. Do you have other FFA accounts that are your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
