On Friday, FFA chapters finally caught a break from the rain and snow, but not the cold. However, that did not stop FFA members from exploring the last day of the expo with excitement and high spirits. During the convention and expo, students could browse the many colleges in attendance and communicate with their agriculture departments. In addition to the colleges, the expo hosted many exhibitors with interactive booths for the students. Everything from wipeouts to virtual reality glasses, the expo had so much for the students to explore. FFA Convention? Alpaca my bags! The FFA convention and expo would not be complete with a live animal, or two. The Alpaca Owners Association Inc. brought in a few of their favorites to show the FFA members. This was a great lesson to the students who may not be familiar with the animals. Poker Face Tennessee FFA members take a break from the expo to relax and play card games provided by Farm Bureau. Wheel of Farming FFA members got to spin the Wheel of Farming for prizes provided by Case IH. I believe in the future of agriculture.. These beloved words mean so much to the FFA members who proudly wear the blue corduroy jacket. Can you win a Tug-of-War with grain? The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers provided many hands-on educational experiences for students, including a challenge. This challenge also educated the students of the importance of grain bin safety. Leave your mark FFA members signed the Protect the Harvest banner. Wipeout A fan favorite, the wipeout challenge at the Ford exhibit, serves as entertainment for the whole crowd. This exhibit tested the coordination and timing skills of each player. Bags? Corn Hole? = bushel of fun No matter what you call this game, it is a fun game for all ages. Virtually perfect At the John Deere exhibit, FFA members were able to see a totally different landscape. They were no longer at the expo, instead they had multiple virtual realities to chose from. Hole-in-one Hopefully the 92nd National FFA Convention & Expo has been a hole-in-one experience for all the FFA members and advisors.
