Beyond the Sale: Careers That Deliver — a virtual field trip — underscores career readiness through skill-building

An immersive virtual experience set for Tuesday, Sept. 25, will let students learn about diverse career opportunities within the industry of agriculture, as well as to meet Tractor Supply Co. employees. Tractor Supply is teaming up with the National FFA Organization and Discovery Education (the leading provider of digital content and professional development for K-12 classrooms) for this virtual field trip titled, Beyond the Sale: Careers That Deliver.

The goal of this project is to transport students beyond the walls of their schools to learn how product development, marketing, distribution, and merchandising play a role in delivering wholesale products every day. During the experience, students will be encouraged to analyze how competition among many sellers lowers costs and prices, and prompts retailers to produce more. The virtual event will be hosted from Tractor Supply’s Merchandising Innovation Center, and will showcase aspects of Tractor Supply career paths that aid in bringing new products to market through an innovative and calculated production pipeline that maximizes business scale.

Beyond the Sale will go live at at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on Sept. 25.

Educators, parents, student advocates and members of the community may register for the Beyond the Sale at agexplorer.com/virtual-field-trip.
