Did you know December 12 is #GingerbreadHouseDay? According to PBS, gingerbread houses originated in Germany during the 16th century and their popularity rose when the Brothers Grimm wrote the fable of Hansel and Gretel, who come upon a house made entirely of sweet treats deep in the forest.
In honor of #GingerbreadHouseDay we take a look at the best farm-inspired sweet architecture buzzing on social:
My Aunt made this beautiful ginger bread house for my granny and papa! If you know my papa then you know he tells tall tales, like the alligator in the pond at the farm to keep us out of it(which worked very well🐊) and he always told us he makes rabbit cheese with the milk he gets from all the rabbits on the farm😂😂 so many childhood memories that will always be held dear and close to my heart💙🎄#family #farm #memories #gingerbreadfarm #sheissocreative #gratefulforfamily #imissthem #ilovethis #christmastime
And just for fun …
