We picked our first watermelon ? from the garden today! The girls were so excited to try it after dinner. Despite the garden being overrun with weeds because summer, pregnancy and a new baby, we still get to enjoy the fruits of our labor. It was so good! First day of corn harvest 2020. We made it through Hurricane Isaias with just a bit of rain and started cutting corn today. It’s always an exciting time on the farm when we are planting or harvesting. My mother in law and I start the meal planning, trying to come up with many different meals (home cooked and take out) to feed the men over the next 6-8 weeks. As we get into some major cooking and baking I will be sure to document the good ones for the blog. We are set to launch on Monday September 21st and I want it to have plenty of content for you guys! I have had multiple requests for farm style recipes and a few requests for healthier (and gluten free) options.
