We are done planting!!! We got done May 30! It is such a relief to have the crop in the ground! I have been MIA for a few days because my phone had a massive heart attack?. It has been annoying me these past few days how evident it is that I am seriously addicted to my phone. No instant camera. No Instagram. Using my never working static filled landline. And since we live in the boonies it's not that easy to run to the "local" Verizon store. I was there so long today…no joke ….there was a shift change ?. #plant17 is officially underway (again) at our farm. After a few tense weeks waiting for the rain to stop and the fields to dry up enough, we finally got back at it yesterday afternoon. The field in this photo is being planted with #corn I shot this after dropping off some supper to @freshairfarmer at about 9:30 PM. Luckily, he was in the field next to our home so didn't have far to go when he was finished for the night around 11. (He's back in that same field today, trying to stay ahead of the planter.) Please continue to watch out for tractors and other farm machinery on the roads this time of year.
