One of my absolute favorite things about the ranching business is the sense of family that comes with it. It’s not only immediate family either; it’s uncles, aunts, and even close family friends. Over the past few years, I’ve gotten to witness the beauty of people coming together to help a neighbor or a friend build and grow their livelihood. There is no pay out most of the time. For those that come to help, they do it out of the grace of their heart, and that’s just so magical to me. Out there, working, we’re all family. We’re all looking to accomplish the same goal, and not out of selfishness or for personal gain, but out of love and support. I’ve always said that many hands make light work, and that’s true, but in the same sense, many minds make great ideas and that could not be more true when it comes to everyone pitching in to help work cattle. I couldn’t be more grateful that God has put me in a position that I get to see and experience these things first hand. I oddly feel as though this is where I was supposed to end up in life and that just speaks to my heart in so many ways; the fact that God has a plan and a way for us even before we could ever ATTEMPT to even think about it. To say I’m ready to be out there all day, everyday, is an understatement. I’m forever grateful for this life, this business and for the people who make it happen. – @madimccall_ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #MDITA #texasagriculturematters #igtexas #ranchlife #longlivecowboys

#FarmerFriday I had the full intention of doing an introduction in my stories of myself and my farm since I’ve gotten so many new followers lately. But I seemed to have forgotten to take my allergy medication so let’s just say I’m down for the count with an “allergy attack / when will this winter end plague” • • So for now you’ll have to hang tight for that introduction when I don’t sound like I’m struggling to breathe and enjoy this #throwback to this past summer when my best friend from high school brought her adorable daughter to the farm to help me with barn chores. Miss Layla was certainly the cutest calf feeder that this baby angus had ever seen. • • Also, any home remedies to kick allergies and nasal drips would be greatly appreciated 👌🏻
