In the words of my husband, "She ain't done nothing but run all her life." And all her life is exactly 64 years. . She may need a paint job, but she shows up and does what is required of her every time he asks. And to hear him talk of "her" made my heart swell up and my eyes well up. Feeling a little nostalgic and thankful and downright humbled at the goodness of God to let me be on this farm – learning from animals and tractors and barns and my man all the things you could never learn from a book. .
