SEA OF YELLOW ?? . All raised on no-till soil in Western Nebraska as one of our rotational crops. . . We are not only a commercial Red Angus cow-calf operation bringing beef right to YOU, but we also have a large cropland operation. We raise wheat sunflowers, millet, flax and corn to name a few! . . Innovation is our father's middle name as one of the no-till pioneers in Nebraska since 1995. In addition, he has been using artificial insemination for our cattle for 35+ years to improve genetic performance. Alton also holds a Master's degree in Range Ecology from CSU. Dean, his son, is following in his footsteps with the same innovative mindset. . . What a beautiful day!!! God blessed us with amazing weather all day long. I decided after trying to get the beets out of our 200 cell tray that next time we need to go bigger… perhaps a 72 cell would work better- all the roots broke off in the 200 cell tray I brought the “big guns” out to push the next round of tunnel rods in the ground (my brother lol) so maybe this time they will stand up to whatever wind we get! And I found the highlight to the tunnels blowing off two days ago: I got to see all my freshly sprouted greens coming up! There’s a nasty late winter snowstorm movin’ in over our area, bringing howling winds, rain, and snow. . . There’s heavy mommas and fresh pairs tucked away in calving barns, or bedded down deep in the breaks, while every rancher west of the Missouri works tirelessly and prays fervently that they stay put until it blows itself out. . . If you’re the praying kind, I’d ask that you say a prayer too.
