Loving this weather lately! ? • • Yesterday was spent doing some work around the farm and going to work for my 3 hour shift! • • Today was spent at my other job cleaning out a shed…saw 2 live mice & multiple skeletons of animals? (this shed hasn’t been cleaned for years so it was pretty bad)…half way done and I hope to get it done tomorrow! Then I came home and cleaned out the brooder house and helped my father who is trying to get some electricity back to the brooder house for me cause GUESS WHAT!? I will be getting 25 broiler chickens here this next month! I’m so excited cause I’m literally gonna be a crazy chicken lady and this would be the start if I got some laying hens too…?

Poppy is usually my broodiest chicken, but with 8 other girls filling up the nesting boxes she’s decided to wait her turn ? I think she’s too busy showing off her new feathers after her molt ?? she’s gotta strut her stuff!! I don’t blame her though, she’s gorgeous!.. . . #mottledcochin #mottledcochinbantam #wildfeatherfarm #countryfresh #homegrownhappiness #backyardchickens #farmlife #chickenphotography #cochin #backyardpoultrymag #chickensofinstagram #backyardflock #backyardpoultry #chooks #freerangechickens #chickenmathstrikesagain #crazychickenlady #smallfarm #farmphotography #fresheggsdaily #chickencoop #farmgirl #farmfresh #chickensofig #bantamchicken #bantamcochin #cochinbantam

Our calving season started with a little hiccup… when one of our newborn calves died, we spent 13 days convincing it’s mother to adopt another cow’s abandoned twin. • SPOILER ALERT: Our efforts were successful and our little Hiccup is still the most spoiled calf in the field. • You can read the whole story in our most recent blog post! The link is in my bio! ☝? • #GiffinFarms #ShiningMDesigns #farmfamily #farmlifestyle #farmwife #farmphotography #farmingphotos #nikonphotographer #SustainAble #grassfedbeef #grainfinished #beef #localbeef #localagriculture #whatsfordinner #localfarmersmarket #knowyourfarmer #knowyourfood #unioncity #westtennessee #tennesseephotographer #tennesseefarm #picktn #picktnproducts #tnmagicmonents #adoption #calvingseason #calf #ranchlife #cowsofinstagram
