The other morning I had an extra helper while going in to pick up fertilizer. Sam absolutely loves all things farm, riding in the white truck, seeing equipment, and most of all getting to go to work with me and dad. Here he got to not only ride in with us while towing the trailer but he also got to see a number of different tractors out working, forklifts (forkies) zipping around, lime trucks lined up and ready to go, and even a crop duster out flying a field. If you couldn’t tell by the huge smile on his face, this farm kid had a great time helping us work.

It unexplainable. The feeling of harvest being over. We do it every year and every year it's completely different. There is no such thing as a "normal" year. But the feelings are still the same. You spent all your money and time through the year on growing a crop. Then you have to trust mother nature to help you get the crop out and she is the opposite of reliable. It's been a hard Harvest. But we feel so lucky that we are one of the few farms that have our crops out.
