Roadside repair. Farmer's skills are many and varied. Their skin and fortitude is tough. High winds, below freezing temps, trucks and traffic whizzing by, doesn't stop a farmer. There's work that needs done. After this hangup a continuation of the never ending list of things. It's a day of more fence repairs, feeding hogs, herd nutritional consult, injuries to treat, farrier coming, bottles to orphans, books read to the youngest child, a parent teacher conference for the little and middle, hay to throw, field to rake, barn to winterize, pies to bake, books to balance, and so much more. This farmer has heart, and like many just put the head down and keeps moving, knowing at night he's blessed.
