Straight Outta Nevada . Well, after weeks of waiting we finally have weaned calves rolling in. The loads we’ve received are from Nevada based ranches, which means truly home grown beef. . The sound of bawling calves is music to my ears! Freshly weaned calves are a challenge. They have to learn how to eat out of a feed bunk and drink from a water trough. . Christmas can early when these guys arrived. I truly love my job! To go along with it changing seasons, I'm changing my photography business name. Let's go with Flourish Farm Photography, sound good? • I felt like that name was able to encompass what I love about farming, since every year we are able to watch the land around us flourish and provide food and so much more…. plus I love taking pictures for my clients and helping them flourish in their own businesses and farms, or watching families flourish as they grow. So the name fits. Let's go with it. * Also, I took this picture for the Pennsylvania Beef Council and my son and nephew were goofing around close by when I drafted them to be models for a few shots. They were not all that cooperative about it (surprise surprise) so that's where the silhouette picture came in. "Just stand there guys!
