So I opened the door to let the dog out and saw this gorgeousness of a sunrise. So I threw the baby in his exersaucer, left the other in his room asleep and creeped through our front pasture (which fronts onto a county highway) in my pajamas and with my hair sticking up every direction to get this shot. All the heifers were laying down but I didn’t creep well enough so some of them got up before I could snap the picture. I took all of two pictures (one was dreadfully out of focus and the other was this one) before I rushed back to the house… because kids. Someone driving by honked at me, so I was all frazzled because there was a witness to all my crazy. But when I loaded it onto my computer I was pretty excited so I sent it to my mom and sister. They promptly replied that it looked like the Bonnie Mohr print “Daybreak” that we have hanging in our house (side note: with our parents and grandparents all being dairy farmers on both my and the farmer’s sides means we’ve seen or owned basically all Bonnie Mohr prints lol). So to wrap up this long-winded tale, what I am saying is I took all this trouble for this picture only to find that Bonnie Mohr has already done it… and done it better. Happy #moomonday

As an aspiring vet, her intuition speaks and many "hopeless" animals find and choose life. Dilly is the lone survivor from not one but two savaging mama pig attacks. Tender prayers spoken over him as she treated dreadful wounds, coaxing him to keep fighting, keep living. He affixed himself to her and now that he's again walking he pads alongside her, little chirps and squeaks of delight escaping him. One of many here who know the value of a kind hopeful heart. #seniorPIGture .
