Such a BIG announcement πŸ“£next week I am (@newmexicomilkmaid) headed to Rome, Italy!! For the @unitednations Committee for World Food Security at the @fao. I cannot begin to tell you how honored I am to have this opportunity to present on a panel during the #CFS46 with farmers from a across the globe. Our panel is on Innovation and Agroecology: A Path to Sustainability. We will be sharing about our sustainability efforts and how that may look different for all of us…from different types of farming to different climates to different countries. All next week, I will be sharing from the meetings at @fao in Rome. The focus of this meeting will be on food security. And while we are there, we will be celebrating World Food Observance Day. I am looking forward to learning more and being a part of this conversation. Here in New Mexico, 1 in 4 children goes to bed hungry. This is even higher than the national average. Hunger is a global issue but at the same time hits too close to home. As farmers, we are charged with not only growing food, but growing more food than ever before with fewer resources. I hope we meet these goals. I am nervous and excited all at the same time. I hope I continue to make you all proud.
