I think our photos become priceless pieces of memories.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ I love this photo of my family. ⁣ ⁣ It epitomises our family perfectly – doing what we love and doing it together as we have, all through our married life.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ We have added to our mustering team over the years as our children grew and became more than a bit ‘handy’. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Then there have been special friends who have come to visit and given a horse or motor bike to ride so they can help too. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Charlie is one such friend in this photo, and I am reminded of the special friendship he and Hutton formed during their high school years.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Memories of our youth, our loves, our babies, toddlers, teenagers and eventually adult children, friendships, animals we’ve loved, places we’ve been, and special moments.⁣ ⁣ Our photos hold all these and so much more, of times and loves that may otherwise be forgotten. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #lifejourneytv #australianinspiration #australianwomen#leadershipinaction #storiesfromthesticks #ruralroom#allthingsagriculture #australianpodcast #wattlewomen#differencemakers #agdaily #aussieag #rurallifestyle#ruralwomen #outbackqueensland #inspiringpeople#makeadifference #discoverunder5k #outbackaustralia#oakmagazine #graziher #thiscountrylife #qrrrwn #cwa #photographs #memories⁣

FAVORITE ANIMAL Having a favorite animal on a farm or homestead can sometimes be a difficult thing. We lost a duck last Friday. Her name was Amelia (pictured – middle) and she was my favorite. Last year she got into our barn and got stuck. She panicked and injured herself before we could help. We brought her inside the house and let her take a bath in our bathtub and clean herself up. We kept her in our mud room with fresh water and tended to her wounds. She ended up losing her left eye but she was healthy and happy. The other two ducks welcomed her back and I was so happy that she made it through. We let our chickens and ducks free range so hawks are just a given. It happens sometimes. It’s horrible and I hate it. So having a favorite animal on the homestead is sometimes a difficult thing.
