Andrew has two ways of irrigating his land: hose reels and hand lines. Hose reels require less labor but are less effective. Hand lines are the direct opposite. To cover the acreage of Andrew's field in 12 days, it takes changing the pipes twice a day. Morning and night. Each pipe is about 60lbs and takes an hour's time with 4 men to finish the job. "You know, back in my day, I changed pipe all by myself." Paul says to Andrew. "Yeah, Dad. That was back when men were men." Andrew says with a laugh. #intheblood
