I had a great day taking pictures of Rolland Schnell as he pressed and prepared sorghum for canning with other family members. The Schnells use an iron press built in the late 1800's and powered by an old John Deere tractor. The process is much like what their ancestors did except it was mule powered at the turn of the 20th century. Look for more photos in the coming days.
