?? Moober ?? || “Moober! Here for a pick up!” We’ve had a few nice days so the cows and new calves have been venturing to all of the corners of the pasture. The calves like to find hidey-holes and lay down while their mom goes and grazes. We make a few trips around the pasture to make sure the calves get back to their mothers for the night—sometimes it requires a Moober ride! ? The mystery of the porch egg. We kept walking out or up to find one egg sitting on the step. Odd! We thought for sure it had to do with little FarmHer Raye, but no, she was adamant it wasn't her doing. Was it one weirdo hen laying in such a strange high traffic place? No, maybe two or three because it was not always the same color egg but they never really come up on the porch. Who was delivering an egg like the milkman of yesteryear delivered milk? The mystery was finally solved. Ole Ma has a service dog, Puck, in training to "bring it", the "it" being whatever she might need and point to. He's apparently watched egg gathering enough to see how it's done. He was spotted yesterday tenderly padding up to the porch, egg held gingerly in his mouth. He set it carefully on the step,, watched for a sec to see it did roll away and then off he went looking for adventure. He takes service dog to a new level. Good boy Puck!
