I personally haven’t been enjoying social media for a long time now. I actually debated about just deleting my account and getting off the grid. But then, I started receiving messages asking if people could share posts from my accounts for their dairy pageants or people just checking in to see if I’m doing alright. Truly, that made me change my mind and I’m thankful for them. I don’t plan on trying to post everyday or share “fancy pictures” (?) with you all as often as you may like. . . I just feel as if a lot of people on social media aren’t really being genuine anymore. Lots of people are caught up on the number of likes they get or how many followers they have. But what should matter is that you’re spreading a positive or informative message with those you engage. I could go out and take cute pictures with my calves and share them with you all, but unless there’s a meaning behind it, I personally don’t care for it anymore. . . I’m also personally tired of the competition between farmers thinking that just because they went to school for a certain degree or do something a certain way, that they’re better than someone else. What we should be doing is helping one another. Instead of commenting on their post and making them feel bad in front of their audience, how about privately messaging them sharing how you think changing one thing could positively affect what they are doing. Ya feel me? . . Last time I checked… You don’t have to tear another person down to make yourself shine. . . PS.
