I've never photo chronicled much of my life on the farm. As a kid, I wrongly assumed that it wasn't worth sharing or documenting. This was just my day-to-day…moving cows, checking pastures, clearing fences and nurturing the seasonal veggies. Nothing to it. But this is and always has been the largest part of my life. Not the travel. Not the backpacking. This is what shaped me into who I am today and taught me the importance of discipline, patience, efficient work and most importantly, family. It's a family run homestead, where you'll find each of us working a separate project on separate equipment midday. We work wordlessly, out of routine, and at the end of the day, all come together for grilling on the deck. It's true that sometimes you don't know what you have until it's gone. I make the big move to Boulder, Colorado this August, pursuing my Masters of Business at the University of Colorado. I know life will never be the same. I don't know when I'll have the opportunity to spend so much time here again, so I'm soaking it in while I can. …..,,,Plus, I'm getting an epic tan doing all my writing from the porch.

If you didn't already know…. I love agriculture. Specifically dairy farming. This week I get to work on the farm with my little brother while my parents are living it up on a much-deserved vacation! What I love even more than agriculture, is taking photos of it! It is my bread and butter (real butter) to meet other farmers, learn about their operations and take photos of them in their element. 🤠❤🐄 With these photos, the farmers are able to share their stories with the world! Farmers are working so hard to bring you farm to fork food and milk, but we also want you to know exactly how all of this works. The ins and outs of our operations, why we do the things we do, how our cattle live and the joy we get from taking care of them. Jump onto my story and into my "Bloechl Farm" highlight to see all kinds of info about my family's homestead! Then stick around to see more stuff like this photo here! See his joy and understand what this life means to farmers. And please ask questions!
