Let's talk email… Did you know email is still the number one way to get your product and your ranch in front of your customer? I was shocked. I figured social media easily had an email beat these days, but it doesn't! Email still trumps all! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So do you want to start an email list for your ranch? Here is what you need. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. FIND A PROVIDER: There are a ton of options out there. Do some googling. My newest favorite is @flodesk and I will be making the switch to them soon! Their stuff is beautiful. If you don't want to pay for a provider, Gmail is still an option! It won't let you get your list very big, but its a fine place to start! The important thing is that you are sending emails, not necessarily the fancy service you send them with. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. DECIDE WHAT TO SAY: The most common thing is to tell people to sign up for your newsletter, but let’s be real… who actually reads those newsletters. NOONE! Sorry to break the bad news, but no one cares about your "news". So find something of value what can you tell people. Share about your cattle, your ranch, the beef you raise to sell, or just what your days look like. These are the emails people like to read and these are the emails that create value. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. GET PEOPLE ON THE LIST: So you have a way to say it and you know what you’ll say, but now you need people! The easiest and simplest thing to do is ask. Yup plain and simple, ask. Announce it on Facebook or Instagram. Announce that email is your new jam and that people won't want to miss it. Just plain ask you might be shocked at the number of people who respond and say yes! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'll get into some small action steps next week because my friend this is easy! You can do it Using naptime and a few small steps I have built my list from 0 and you can too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Give this a double tap you are excited to grow your list! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #agdaily #agriculturemarketing #americanangus #anguscattle #ranching4profit #cattleranch #cattkeman #rancher #cattletales #livestockmarketing #ncba

‘Tis the season to snuggle baby calves!! This is my favorite picture from calving last year and we’re pretty excited for more moments like this to come. Check out my stories from today to see a live baby calf birth! I was watching from inside and it looked like the calf was born in the sac. If this happens and the mother doesn’t get the sac off of the calf’s face in time, the calf can suffocate. I ran outside to make sure the calf was ok and all was well. This time of year is always fun for us because Levi and I go back and forth about who knows more about labor and birth. ? Humans, cows, whoever it is, birth is such a miracle.? #CalvingSeason #FarmRanchLife #FarmKids #FamilyFarm #LaborNurse #DoubleOfarms #FarmLife
