4H Expo Beef show for Little Farmer and Dude. This steer was the bottle calf he showed last year. The judge said Little Farmer answered his questions with maturity of 16 yr old, not early 4H age. Fun was had and Dude cooperated. Dude's name is from Dean Martin's character in Rio Bravo. V I S I O N // . “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Prov 29:18 . I’ve been pondering this verse recently and asking the Lord to renew my vision. . The past several weeks have been a blur with wheat harvest, VBS, and farm projects. The sort of ‘busy’ where I’m doing good to get the laundry washed before we actually need the clean clothes, pulled directly from the dryer. My mom called it, ‘survival mode’ . But this past week I was able to get the laundry caught up. Meals in the freezer. The house (mostly) in order, and back into a semblance of routine with the kids. . I’m feeling a little space. Margin. . And, project person that I am, I already have about a dozen pending options for this time space. . Which is why I’m asking the Lord for vision. I don’t want to be busy. I want to live by priorities. Growing in my walk with Christ. Investing in my marriage. Training my children. Showing up here in a meaningful way. . No answers yet, but it sure is nice having a bit of space to ponder & pray over it! . . Happy Monday friends!! ❤️ Are you in a busy season?… or feeling some mid-summer margin?
