This view. I love how it hits me sometimes that this is why we decided to farm. This is why we’ve been having early mornings, late nights and hard working days. For this view. That little white farmhouse? That was Mike’s grandpa’s house that family has been able to enjoy so many special moments in. Those shops and barns? That’s where three and four generations have worked, and still work, learning how to manage the land and keep up the equipment. Those fields? That’s where our family has spent countless hours prepping, planting and harvesting. Those trees? They are part of a family orchard, planted over many years, that we lovingly harvest and preserve each year. We continue adding to and changing this view in small ways, but it always gives me a sense of peace and belonging. I hope the next generation will feel the same way and love it as much as we do!

Are you an early bird or a night owl? I am definitely a morning person for so many reasons. First of those being breakfast foods! I mean who doesn’t love French toast and bacon with real maple syrup??!! So delicious…. After breakfast, I am also more productive. The quietness of the house makes for a perfect time to read the Bible, answer emails, and tidy up before the sound of little feet and horses whinnying begins.
