Bib overalls, rubber boots, an old metal boat and a fishing pail…. there’s a really good country song in here somewhere! This family made my heart sing with this laid back session at their home. ❤️ .⁣ #cwfarmphotography⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ .⁣ ⁣#girlscantoo #womeninag #shophelper #farmphotographydaily #agmorethanever #farmgirl #womenwhofarm #farmlife #farmphotography #familyfarm #generationalfarming #dairyfarmersdaughter #smalltownlife #rurallife #farmersdaughter #farmphotography #portraitphotographer #thefarmersdaughter #oshkoskkids #letthembelittle #farmraised #carharttwomen #midwestphotographer #missouriproud #farmlifebestlife #missourifarmer⁣ #afbfshare #futurefarmer @americanfarmbureau @mofarmbureau ⁣

A year ago I left my corporate job of nearly 14 years to help on the family farm. While I loved my “brown family” and what I did, I knew I was making the right move. It’s not always been an easy road, but the scenery is always better on the rough, back country roads. What I don’t think I realized though, was how being able to be a part of the farm on a daily basis would change my life. Not only has it allowed me to spend more time with family, but has given me such a rich resource of material for my art. While farming is not an easy lifestyle, nor is it for everyone, there is something beautiful about an honest day’s work, growing crops, cows, kids, and planting seeds of faith along the way. It’s been an absolute joy to be able to capture some of these moments and share them all with you, and I consider it a huge blessing to be able to live this lifestyle. Thank you for sharing my journey and I hope you continue with me. If you are new to my art, I hope you enjoy what you see here, and invite you to travel along. #backroads #countryroads #travel #scenicroute #countryliving #countrylife #artist #artistlife #farmlife #farmlifestyle #farming #fineartcountrystyle #journey #dirtroads #ag #agriculture #whatafarmerlookslike #agdaily

Beautiful foggy Monday morning on the farm to enjoy. I’ve volunteered to go into work later today to help cover staffing. After this beautiful morning, I sincerely regret it.? Apparently I’ve decided to make the chickens the star of the farm this week but that’s truly not my intentions. Apparently they take the Book of Ruth seriously, especially verse 16. Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee; for whither thou goest, I will go, and where thou lodgest, I will lodge. Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God. My people wish you a fabulous start to your week!??. . . ???????????? #whereyougoigo #chickensofig #chickenmomma #chickenlife #yardbird #morningonthefarm #downonthefarm #farmlifebestlife #farmlife #farmliving #countrylife #countryliving #mycountrylife #mycountryliving #countryfried #countryfolk #forevercountry #countrysideandfarmlife #modfarm #modernfarmer #lifeouthere #sunriseonthefarm #sunriseoftheday #splendid_outskirts #raw_country #trb_rural #ruralliving #farmphotography #lifeinthecountry #lifeonthefarm

G R A T I T U D E • an easy concept to grasp, but a challenging thing to remember in our daily lives. ? After listening to a sermon about gratitude from @theporch tonight, I felt pulled to remind all of you about the importance of this word. ? If you’re like me, you need several reminders throughout the week to slow down and take a look around you. To appreciate the little things. To look at circumstances in a positive light instead of a negative one. ? Summer can be stressful. Weather not cooperating, county fair preparation, vacation planning, and just a general wishing that there were more hours in the day. (Even though the days are never longer than in summer ?) ? So tonight, I challenge you to be thankful for the small stuff. The freedom to take a walk on a piece of ground you own. The ability to pet your dog before you fall asleep at night. The voice to tell someone else you care about them or are thankful for something they’ve done for you. ? It’s easy to complain. It’s much harder to find the GOOD in any given situation. Let’s all see the GOOD in the day, okay? Because if you live a life in agriculture, there is a A LOT of good ? #TheFarmStory
