Can I tell you a secret?! Until recently, I had never had veal. Not Ever. Why not you ask?! Well one time someone told me something or I saw something on the internet that said veal farming was bad. ??‍♀️ I know, I know as a farmer I should know better, but guess what? I am a consumer just like you and sometimes I believe things I read on the internet even when I shouldn't. — But recently, I started following Dr. Hake the @vealvet and learning all about veal farming from actual veal famers and vets. And big shock, what I had heard was wrong. Calves raised for veal are taken care of by experts like Dr. Hake. Their diets are planned, their housing is spotless. Veal farming is an important part of dairy farming. It gives us a great market for our bull calves to be raised and cared for and to ultimately provide nutritious beef. — If you have questions about veal, I highly recommend that you head over to @vealvet and show her some love, ask some questions and hopefully learn something new! She is an amazing #farmHer, vet, mom and farm wife! Those are just a couple of the reasons she is my #farmertofollow for today. ?? — #Repost from @vealvet with @regram.app … My linebacker love affair captured perfectly by @mattaddingtonphotography ? Matt did a fantastic job capturing the care and hard work that goes into raising veal calves. Can’t wait to share more! Be sure to follow @mattaddingtonphotography and his amazing work!
