I spotted this beautiful old barn while driving the backroads. It’s a symbol of our past, but I’m not sure about this barns’s future. It’s currently not being used and seems destined to be taken down. Barns represent so much hard work and building skills. Well the grapes aren’t the only things growing like crazy around here! Mason is sure growing up fast. The first picture and video is from today, if you swipe over you’ll see Mason, and the grapes, last year. As he’s grown he’s taking work more seriously, and lately he’s had molars coming in too. Two reasons we love Santa Gertrudis and Gert influenced cattle: excellent milk production and unbeatable maternal instincts. This Gert/Hereford cross heifer was born and raised here on the farm. Last week was super busy. We had an awesome week in Spokane at the Spokane Junior Livestock show. The first show of the the year was a ton of fun! And to top it off @boatmanclublambs came to support our girls. . . A few of the highlights were Grand Champion 4-H ewe, final drive of 4-H market, prospect, and showmanship divisions. . . The struggle is absolutely REAL. The struggle to [try to] pump out content everyday; the struggle to be creative. The struggle to be a true storyteller. The struggle of branding myself/ business. . I fight those struggles internally fairly often, but I finally realized yesterday the piece of the puzzle that’s been missing from this equation, my start into this business: visual strategy. Maybe it was the nasty winter that got me down, or maybe I told myself I was too busy. . Either way, I’m taking this biz back to the roots of it all to help better serve the agriculture community. New ideas are coming, folks. Better communication strategy for agriculture is on the horizon- I hope you’ll embrace it.
