Beef Month Did You Know? ➡️The term F1 when describing an animal refers to it being a first generation cross. The F1s we are raising take advantage of hybrid vigor and gives these animals enhanced traits compared to their straight-bred sire (Brahman) and dam (Hereford). . ➡️In our F1 Hereford x Brahman calves, we are expecting increased longevity, heat/humidity tolerance, disease resistance, calving ease from the Brahman influence. While from their Hereford dams, we expect calves to mature earlier, have enhanced carcass traits, and be moderate-framed and size. Sire: Mr Kallion 1352
