Show of hands… does anyone else like looking out at a field? I took this back in 2016… a highway runs through the back of it, and I took it on the side of a little back road with my car's hazards blinking. Worth it, because I get to look back and remember the light breeze, the just cool enough air and how good I felt to be outside in that moment. ?☉?

Hard losses can really knock you back. Like most people we can't afford to be losing a bull that was as good as sold or a brand new baby bull with spectacular genetics. But there's no way we'd survive this lifestyle without a good healthy dose of optimism that everything is going to be alright. Farmers and ranchers are the most resilient people I know. There is no choice but to keep moving forward and adjusting constantly to the things life throws at us. I told GW I wanted to go see if my cows had had their babies yet, so we were all excited to see this little heifer.
