I still remember the night last summer when I ran outside in the middle of a hot, dry, windy thunderstorm and screamed at God to make it stop. My husband, dad, brother, and so many friends and family had been battling fire for days, and I was exhausted. Emotionally and physically drained. In tears, I told the man upstairs I would just be so thankful for the wind to stop. I begged for rain, for any kind of reprieve from the drought. This winter wasn't quite what I had in mind, but I suppose it is proof that God answers our prayers in his own time. Never give up hoping, never give up believing. He always provides.

I really love dogs. They are the best, especially farm and country dogs. They really keep a family together and are always supporting the work by laying around and watching. ? This boy here passed in November, and we miss him everyday. He loved rides in the pickup and laying in the sun. The farm has felt quieter and emptier without him.
