Cold, snowing ,wind blowing, these thing do not matter when there are horses to feed. But, this is ranch life , our real everday life. These two men are as hard working and dedicated as they come. I for one am very thankful to have these guys in my life. I am proud to be married to the handsome one on the hay wagon.

We have one heartbroken little boy over here today ? we arrived home to the farm on Sunday to find one of our kittens with what appeared to be a broken back..dragging her bottom half behind her. We quickly swept her up, moved her to the warm shop to see what had happened but it was quite clear that she was suffering. Yesterday we made the decision to put her down and all I could think about was what I would tell this little boy who loves his kittens fiercely. Unfortunately being on a farm, death seems closer to us as we live & work with the land and we've had quite a bit of death this Fall between our family dog, a hen that was the sweetest and followed us everywhere to now this..our kitten who was just 6 months old. As grateful as I am to live here & raise the animals we do, sometimes it just hurts too…
