#Harvest2018 heart shaped tomato to remind us why we do this thing called farming. It runs deep, it has to. The long long days, the exhaustive never ending task list, dirty hands and even dirtier jeans, broken equipment and broken bodies. Of senseless loss of life at the hands of predators, disease and sometimes just bad dang luck. Ours is also the songs of newborn babies ringing out joyful in the dark of night, the way the sun breaks first on snowy mountains glowing pink seen before the rest of the world gets a glimpse, it's the first bites of sun warm, sun ripe fruits, it's fresh cut hay and summer's sweet scent of sweat and dust and a job well done. Its sunshine canned up into tidy jars sitting on a shelf to give to friends. Its those friends and fellow farmers all intertwined like a wad of haystring on plow tines. Its fresh earth and fresh hope. Yes this thing called farming, it runs so very deep and strong. Fueled by pain, and passion, gumption and grit. Driven though by love. Always love, growing, surrounding, supporting – spurring us forward! Until next year my sweet earth, be well! #harvest2018 #autumn #farmer #dowhatyoulove #rootsandboots #dedicated #thankafarmer #thankafarmerforyournextmeal #didyoueat #livestrong #life #herestothefarmer #agdaily #farm365 #foodie #nom #freshveggies #eatgoodthings #agdaily #farmhand #farmtopia #farmstock #farm365
