Interior Secretary Zinke rides horse to work on first day

Published:

Sporting a cowboy hat and blue jeans and riding a horse through the streets of the nation’s capital, this is the kind of public official we can get behind.

It was the first day of work of new Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, and he was clearly showing his Montana roots and pride right from the start.

USA Today reported that “his ride took place from the National Mall, where the National Park Service has stables, to the Interior Department’s main building, located just off the Mall.”

Zinke was confirmed on Wednesday by the Senate for his new role.
