Central Plains Dairy Foundation scholarship accepting applications

The Lon and Kathy Tonneson Central Plains Dairy Foundation Scholarship is now accepting applications for 2022. The $500 Tonneson Scholarship is awarded annually to a student pursuing a degree in agriculture with an emphasis in agricultural communications or leadership. Applying students must have completed their first semester enrolled in a post-secondary college or university’s two or four-year program.

Applicants from South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota will be given preference. The Lon and Kathy Tonneson scholarship was founded by Tracy and Brian Erickson of Arlington, South Dakota, to honor Lon and Kathy for their dedication to growing agricultural and dairy industries.

Applications are due by Friday, September 30, 2022. The application consists of 20 questions and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. To apply, click here.

The Lon and Kathy Tonneson Central Plains Dairy Foundation Scholarship is sponsored by Max Strat. Max Strat is comprised of a team of individuals who specialize in executive management, leadership support, change management, strategic planning, and creative services.

The Central Plains Dairy Association is a 501(c)3 Organization dedicated to investing in proactive planning to support the dairy industries, specifically in South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, and North Dakota. They hold an annual Central Plains Dairy Expo, golf tournament, and Women’s Dairy Business Conference.
