This southwest England farmer’s ‘regift’ is creating some buzz. Farmer Rachel Rivers wanted to thank the firefighters that saved her two sows and 18 piglets from a hay fire this past February, so when it was time for the pigs to go to slaughter she sent them sausage.
While the firefighters appreciated the gesture and said it was delicious, vegetarian and animal rights activists weren’t so pleased. PETA told the BBC, they would be sending the firefighters vegan sausages.
