One horse is dead and another was injured after kicking their way through the floor boards of a horse trailer Thursday while traveling in Fort Pierce, Florida. According to the police, the thoroughbred was dragged about a quarter-mile before the driver realized it.
The driver, Tours on Horseback, was carrying 10 horses at the time. No people were injured and no other vehicles were involved.
Tours on Horseback, a family-owned and operated business that provides guided horseback tours in St. Lucie County, said they have never had anything like this happen to them before and were devastated.
