A Funkhouser, Illinois farmer made a shocking discovery this week while harvesting soybeans … a body. After discovering the human remains and personal effects at approximately 1:17pm Tuesday, the farmer called 911.
According to Effingham radio, authorities have identified the deceased as 52-year-old, Erik Douglas Nelson, of rural Effingham. He had been reported missing on July 25.
The case remains under investigation.
