A veteran Decatur, Illinois firefighter died Monday night after the tractor he was driving rolled over and pinned him.
According to the Herald & Review, Logan County Coroner Robert Thomas said 43-year-old Micah Wakeman “was in the process of moving round bales when the tractor he was driving rolled over and pinned him under the tractor. The accident was not witnessed, and he was found by a friend.”
A 16-year member of the Decatur Fire Department, Wakeman is survived by his wife and four children.
Fire Chief Jeff Abbott said Wakeman was also a foster parent to troubled youth and was in the process of getting ready to go on another mission trip to Africa.
