You share, Syngenta gives in #RootedinAg holiday campaign

Published:

This holiday season the ag community can post on social media with a purpose — to rise against hunger — thanks to a new campaign from Syngenta.

The campaign is simple: From now through Dec. 31, 2017, Syngenta invites people across the country to share seasonal photos of their farms, friends, families, and communities. For every photo tagged on social media with #RootedinAg or uploaded to the campaign website, Syngenta will donate $5 to Rise Against Hunger – a North Carolina-based, international hunger-relief organization – up to a total donation of $10,000. Every $5 donation is the equivalent of 17 meals for those in need.

“Around the holidays, we’re reminded of our agricultural roots, as we gather with loved ones and share stories around the dinner table,” said Wendell Calhoun, Syngenta communications manager. “At Syngenta, we know not everyone is fortunate enough to have a warm meal each night, so we are working hard to give American growers the tools they need to do their jobs even better. This holiday campaign echoes that partnership and shared hope for a brighter future.”

In addition to benefiting those in need, the campaign will result in the creation of a holiday mosaic, made up of all the photos that are submitted during the campaign. Syngenta will display this mosaic on the campaign webpage.
