Illinois man John Hoffman, who made name for himself through his restoration work with John Deere machinery, was killed recently when a tractor he was unloading rolled over on him. He was 60.
The Northwest Herald said that Hoffman, who was also a farmer, was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports show that local fire/rescue personnel responded at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Hoffman’s obituary depicts him in a Deere hat, and videos posted there showed him with some of his beloved tractors. Dozens of people have expressed their condolences.
