To water or not to water? Make a precise decision with AT&T

Published:

AT&T is now mobilizing the agricultural world. The global telecommunications company recently announced its partnership with Precision King to help farmers monitor the one area they have control over — water irrigation.

Precision King is using AT&T’s Global SIM card and AT&T Internet of Things (IoT) services to collect data from the soil and transmit back to the Precision King console. Farmers can then receive alerts when it’s time to irrigate.

The provider of smart farming solutions is also incorporating IoT technology to help monitor weather conditions and track equipment, allowing farmers to make real-time decisions to move or shut off irrigation — from virtually anywhere.
