USDA is extending the deadline to apply for CFAP to September 11th and added eligible commodities that are covered by the program.
Farm groups sent a letter to Secretary Sonny Perdue requesting the deadline for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program be pushed beyond August 28, 2020.

USDA’s Farm Service Agency will now accept applications for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program through an online portal.
While many farm groups appreciate the aid efforts, many believe further assistance will be needed to combat the damages from the coronavirus.
Beginning May 26, the U.S. Department of Agriculture will be accepting applications from agricultural producers who have suffered losses.
