California farm lets visitors feed ‘Big Bird’

It’s feeding time. Ostrichland USA, located in Solvang, California, has become quite the tourist attraction and the highlight of the tour is feeding the ostriches and emus. Even celebrities, such as Khloe Kardashian, have stopped to serve lunch to a ‘big bird.’

While Ostrichland carries and sells Ostrich meat, their birds are not raised for meat. The farm brings the meat in from businesses who raise Ostrich exclusively for meat. Ostrichland’s birds have been raised to be fed by the visitors and are trained to eat out of a bowl, but a few words of advice… Feed at your own risk!
