Farm Credit offering scholarships for ag-related fields

The underlying message is: There is a future in agriculture!

Well, that and the fact that 10 lucky Mid-Atlantic students can each win $10,000 scholarships to study food and ag-related fields at the college level.

The Farm Credit Foundation for Agricultural Advancement posted its video, “10,000 Reasons to Study Ag!,” to usher in the application period, which begins Sept. 30 and runs through Jan. 13.

Agriculture is more than the day-to-day operations of a farm; it’s the scientists, veterinarians, consultants, and digital experts who complement and help to inform today’s farmers.

“There’s another side of ag that’s growing at a rapid rate. Nearly 60,000 jobs need to be filled each year,” the video explains.
