Farm Forward envisions future of ag with John Deere

· February 21, 2019

With technology expanding the opportunities in the ag industry, the future is full of new possibilities. Many farmers could probably never imagine turning on their pivots from a tap of their smartphone, but here we are. The future of agriculture is constantly evolving with new advancements in technology, leaving many wondering where ag could be in the next 5, 10, or 20 years.

Although we could only imagine, that is exactly what John Deere did. They released this Farm Forward video — the future of ag as they picture it. It has left us with a few questions. How far in the future is this? We didn’t see any flying cars so that leaves us wondering. How far away is this technology? Is this the future you imagined for agriculture? Only time will tell if they are right.

John Deere is giving a preview of its futuristic Farm Forward video and is also displaying its latest farm equipment and technology at Commodity Classic, Feb. 28 to Mar. 2, in Orlando, Florida.

John Deere said in a news release, “Farm Forward is a vision of how technology could drive increased productivity to feed a growing population. It was created to inspire conversations and help farmers visualize what the future of their farm will be. The video brings to life Machine Automation, Analytics-Based Insights, Anywhere Management, and Connect Support.”
